Career History
My interest in law began in 2015 and has continued to grow ever since. From an early age, I was drawn to challenging and analytical work, which made a legal career a natural fit. The opportunity to solve complex problems, build meaningful relationships and continually develop my knowledge has remained a key motivation throughout my journey.
I studied Law at Brunel University London, where I developed a particular interest in Tax, Banking, Consumer Rights and Intellectual Property. Following university, I took 18 months away from formal study to pursue a number of entrepreneurial ventures. This experience provided valuable commercial insight, strengthened my business acumen and enhanced my understanding of the challenges faced by business owners.
I later returned to legal studies and completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP University Cambridge, graduating in 2024. In autumn 2024, I joined Neves Solicitors as a Paralegal in the Company and Commercial Department, where I have continued to build my experience advising businesses and supporting clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.
I became a trainee solicitor in September 2026, with my first seat being in the Company and Commercial department.
Experience
Working within the Company and Commercial Department has provided me with exposure to a broad and varied range of work. The nature of the department means that matters often overlap with other practice areas, including Commercial Property, Private Client and Conveyancing, allowing me to gain experience across a diverse spectrum of legal issues.
A significant aspect of my role involves working closely SMEs. Through this, I have developed a strong appreciation for the importance of building lasting client relationships. Understanding each client's objectives and delivering practical, commercially minded support is something I find particularly rewarding.
I regularly assist with a variety of corporate transactions and commercial matters, including:
- Share sales and acquisitions
- Asset sales and purchases
- Shareholder agreements
- Loan agreements and security documentation
- Corporate restructuring
I have also assisted with a small range of commercial property matters, including the grant of new leases, licences and lease variations, providing clients with practical support across multiple areas of their business.
What Makes Me Human
My core life tenet is balance - while I enjoy the challenge and fast-paced nature of legal work, I purposefully make time for interests and activities outside the office that help me stay grounded and motivated.
When I am not working, I enjoy playing chess and staying active in the gym. I also lead what could be described as a double life. I am a professional Indian drummer, performing at weddings and events most weekends.
Alongside this, I volunteer as a boxing coach at my local temple, where I provide free coaching sessions on Sundays. Giving back to my community and helping others develop confidence and discipline through a sport that has been a staple of my life's journey is something I find incredibly rewarding.
Together, these interests help me maintain perspective, stay motivated and bring energy and enthusiasm to both my personal and professional life.
