Career History

I completed my LLB at the University of Hertfordshire, where I also worked as a Student Advisor at the Hertfordshire Law Clinic, assisting members of the public with legal queries. I then went on to study the Legal Practice Course (LPC) combined with a Masters in Law, graduating in February 2025. Throughout my academic studies, I gained practical experience by working with a number of regional and high street law firms. In January 2025, I joined Neves Solicitors as a Family Paralegal before commencing my Training Contract in April 2025 within the Private Client Department.

Experience

Family
As a Family Paralegal, I supported solicitors across a range of matters including financial proceedings on divorce, and Children Act proceedings. I was regularly involved in attending court hearings, which included complex international relocation cases and child abduction cases. My role at court extended to meeting with counsel beforehand and providing ongoing support throughout hearings. A particular highlight of my time in the Family department was attending a hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.
Working in Family law taught me that time is often of the essence — each case is unique and must be tailored to its own specific urgency and circumstances. My responsibilities included preparing court bundles, liaising with clients, drafting orders and assisting solicitors in managing sensitive and high-pressure matters effectively.

Private Client
In the Private Client Department, my experience includes drafting Wills, preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax Planning, Estate Planning and assisting with Probate. I have also attended client meetings at their homes, assessed mental capacity with supervising solicitors and witnessed the execution of Wills. This work has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of estate planning, attention to detail, and the importance of client-focused service.

What makes me human

Outside of work, I enjoy getting glammed up and spending time in the city with my family and friends. Coming from a large extended family, my evenings often involve lively game nights and gatherings, providing the perfect balance to my professional life.
