Divorce and Family Law
Family life doesn’t always run smoothly, and when challenges arise, we’re here to help. Whether you’re facing divorce, separation, family disagreements, financial concerns linked to cohabitation or separation, need support in arranging contact with your children or grandchildren, or want to put a prenuptial agreement in place, our team is ready to support you every step of the way.
Our Approach
When you instruct one of our divorce and family law solicitors, they will give you a clear and straightforward explanation of your legal position, free from jargon. You’ll also receive an outline of the likely timescales and costs, helping you make informed decisions about the path ahead.
We understand that every family is unique, with its own circumstances and complexities. That’s why we take the time to listen, understand your situation fully, and provide tailored advice designed to protect your interests—whatever challenges you may be facing.
You can rely on our experts
Our highly experienced lawyers hold a range of specialist Family Law accreditations. We are recognised on the Law Society's Panel of Family Law Specialist Lawyers and hold The Law Society Specialist Accreditation in Children Law. All our solicitors are members of Resolution - a community of family justice professionals committed to resolving issues constructively - and several are trained collaborative lawyers.
Our Family Law team has also been listed in the Legal 500, one of the most comprehensive independent guides to UK law firms.
Contacting Us
When you reach out to us, your initial call or email will be handled directly by one of our family solicitors—not by a support team member. This allows the solicitor to gain an early understanding of your situation and ensures they are fully prepared for your fixed-fee meeting.
What happens next?
We offer a Fixed Fee First Meeting, which provides you with a full hour with a specialist family lawyer. We’ll begin by inviting you to outline the background, your priorities, and any concerns you may have. During the meeting, we will clearly explain your legal position and outline the options available to you.
In a small number of cases, the issue you contact us about may not be suitable for a fixed fee meeting. If this applies to your situation, our family team will inform you during the initial consultation and guide you towards the most appropriate next steps
Meet your solicitor
A fixed fee meeting is also an opportunity to meet the solicitor who would be dealing with your case. It is important that you feel comfortable with your lawyer and that you are confident that they understand your goals and approach.
How much does a Fixed Fee meeting cost?
Our fixed fee for an initial 60 minute meeting costs £150 plus VAT. If you feel that a fixed fee meeting in person or by video might help you, then please get in touch with the Family team by calling 0330 0945 500 , emailing family@neves.co.uk or complete the form below and we'll get back to you.
